Spoilers for the other books in the series! I have been a fan of this book from the start, or so it feels like J

Sam got in trouble in the last book because she punched that idiot Ramsey. Now he’s trying to get her into trouble[shocker!]. She got suspended and while she was leaving the station a young man kind of accosted her to take his case. You can’t imagine how crazy it got to be!

I love everything I this series: the main characters, the secondary characters, their relationships, the drama, the snark, the action… everything. Sam and Nick have a lovely, loving relationship but as any couple they still have some disagreements. I love reading about them :D You’re never left with the feeling that they don’t like or love each other anymore, and that’s very important IMO. Scotty is still a great kid, we see what he faces being the son of the VP.

The main secondary story was centered around Gonzo and how what happened to his partner affected him. It’s heartbreaking and chilling but so REAL! You can understand and feel his struggle, Ms Force did an amazing job conveying it.

There’s nothing that I didn’t like. Ms Force always writes good, relatable, stories and characters and I always love to read them.
